Sahlu Mikael, obtained his Juris Doctor (JD) from Vanderbilt University, School of Law in 1988. He obtained his LLB from Addis Ababa University Faculty of Law in 1982. 

Sahlu Mikael has traveled extensively having lived in Switzerland, Russia, Ethiopia, and the United States. 

Since 1982, Sahlu Mikael has been engaged in the practice of Law both in the government sector and in the private sector. 

From 1988 until 1991 he was an associate with Shearman and Sterling, one of the foremost corporate law firms in the world. From 1991 until 1994, he was an associate with the law firm of Williams and Connolly, which is one of the foremost litigation law firms in the United States. 

From 1993, until the present, Sahlu Mikael, has been the principal of the Law Offices of Sahlu Mikael, and has been focusing his legal practice in immigration and personal injury (automobile accidents). 

In 2007, Sahlu Mikael was recognized as one of the leading immigration attorneys in the Washington DC area by the Washingtonian magazine. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and has enjoyed a reputation as an effective attorney, with a very high rate of success. 

In 2007, Sahlu Mikael was responsible for handling a serious accident case involving permanent brain injury and was able to obtain a multi million dollar settlement for his client.

Malcolm P. Herman has over thirty five years of experience as a practicing attorney. He obtained his law degree from Gonville & Caius College in Cambridge, England. He was admitted as a Solicitor of Supreme Court in England in 1974. He was admitted as an attorney in the State of Israel in 1979, where he worked in general practice for several years. After moving to the United States in 1991, he was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1992 and the Maryland State Bar in 1993. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Maryland Association for Justice and the Montgomery County Bar Association. In 1997, he opened the Law Offices of Malcolm P. Herman in Rockville, Maryland and he has practiced law in Rockville since that date. 

Malcolm P. Herman also specializes in chronic pain issues. He serves as legal advisor and is a director of Pain Connection – Chronic Pain Outreach Center, Inc. He is also a director of the American Pain Foundation and serves as C-Chair of the Pain Community Advisory Council of the American Pain Foundation.
